2019 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale: What You Need to Know + Sneak Peeks!

I have had lots of questions surrounding the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale so I wanted to answer those below plus give you all some sneak peeks of different items that will be included in this years sale! This is Nordstrom’s biggest sale of the entire year and it begins on July 12th at 12:30PM EST for those that have Early Access! What is the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale?
The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale happens once a year (always before fall) and includes brand new items at super discounted prices! It’s the perfect time to grab any pieces you need for your fall wardrobe or even certain designer pieces you’ve had your eye on at a discounted price! Brands like Barefoot Dreams, Kendra Scott, Tory Burch, and many more are included.
When does the sale start?
If you are a Nordstrom Cardholder, you are able to shop Nordstrom’s Early Access Sale which starts on July 12th at 12:30PM EST and goes until July 18th. This is when most items sell out, so if you are planning on shopping the sale, I would recommend becoming a cardholder to gain access to the pre-sale because the best items will sell out during this time. To become a Nordstrom cardholder, sign up here!
If you are not a cardholder, the Nordstrom Sale opens up to the public on July 19th and ends on August 4th. Once it ends, prices on the discounted items will go back up to their regular price!
Which items will sell out the quickest?
Every year, there are a handful of items that go QUICK. These are most commonly suede boots, such as the Sam Edelman Hiltin Knee High boots from last year (that are included in this years sale in brown!!), Barefoot Dreams cardigans and blankets, the Spanx leggings, and other popular pieces such as certain sweaters (color blocked ones last year went quick) and sneakers.
What tips do you have for shopping the sale?
I would highly recommend taking a look through your closet / fall wardrobe and figuring out what pieces you are missing, such as over the knee boots or a good pair of denim, and what pieces you maybe need to replace prior to the sale! This will help you stay focused on purchasing what you actually need!
When it comes to actually shopping the sale, start shopping right when the sale goes live! The best items will go quick and the site unfortunately always crashes after a few hours, so you’ll want to have a chance to place your order before that happens.
If you are not sure of your size on an item, I would purchase a couple sizes and send back whichever ones don’t fit! Nordstrom offers free shipping and free returns which makes it super easy to send back pieces you don’t want to keep. I do this all the time!
Also, because Nordstrom offers free shipping, don’t hesitate to place multiple orders! I always place a quick order right away that includes items I think will sell out super fast and then I go back and look through the sale more deeply to make sure I didn’t miss any other pieces I may want to grab.

Sam Edelman Hiltin Booties: these sold out so fast last year! I have them in cream and love them. I’ll be grabbing this new brown tone this year!
Barefoot Dreams blankets: Another favorite from the NSale every year and one of the things I’ll be grabbing. The reviews on these are incredible!
Blondo Waterproof Suede Bootie: I grabbed a pair of Blondo booties during last year’s sale and absolutely love them. They’re super comfortable and I love that they are waterproof! They make the perfect fall bootie.
Kiehl’s Jumbo Body Lotion: this allover body lotion is perfect for helping keep your skin moisturized during the colder months! It’s super hydrating and lasts forever. I bought this last year on sale, use it daily, and have hardly put a dent in it!
Nordstrom Moonlight Short Pajamas: this is another item I will be grabbing during the sale. The reviews are amazing on them and I have several girlfriends that rave about how comfy they are!
Barefoot Dreams Circle Cardigan: these will go quick! I grabbed one last year and wear it all the time. They are super cozy and worth every penny in my opinion!
Adidas Swift Run Sneaker: if you’re on the hunt for new sneakers, these super cute ones are included in the sale!
AG The Farrah High Waist Ankle Skinny Jeans: If you’re in need of a good pair of denim, the AG skinny jeans are always super popular during the sale! Sizes will go quick on these, so order them quick if you want a pair.
Chevron Spinner Luggage Set: if you’re in need of a new luggage set, I love this one!
Madewell Ryder Cardigan: I absolutely loveee these cardigans - they’re so soft and warm! These always sell out fast, especially in the smaller sizes.
Good American High Waist Skinny Jeans: This is another great pair of denim that is included in the sale! The dark wash will be perfect for fall outfits.
Free People Thermal: I have this top in grey and wear it all the time! It’s perfect for pairing with leggings for a casual outfit or denim and booties! I’ll be buying the white version this year.
