My Favorite Makeup Products for the Perfect Summer Glow

Hi girls!! Recently I have received tons of DM’s & questions asking if I switched up my makeup routine and the answers is YES! I love changing up my routine depending on the seasons and with this summer weather in full swing here, I have been loving a glowy, bronzed, sun kissed look! Lately, I’ve been using some new products that are seriously GAME CHANGERS to achieve a beautiful summer glow that I wanted to share with you gals, along with some tried and true favorites I’ve been using for years!

I recently picked up the Becca Backlight Priming Filter after hearing so many of my friends rave about it and I’m seriously kicking myself for not trying it sooner!! It’s that good. If you want a dewy glow, this is a must for achieving that look. It can also be used as a liquid highlighter if you want, but I love the look it gives when using it as a primer.

Once I have applied my Primer, I apply my Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation with a damp beauty blender. This is a full coverage foundation that I always have on hand, especially in this humid Tennessee weather because it stays put. I will say without the Backlight Primer it is pretty matte, but in combination with the primer is looks really pretty! On days that I don’t want a full coverage look, I absolutely love using my Peter Thomas Roth CC Cream in the “light” shade.

The next step in my routine is my concealer. I have yet to find a better concealer than my Tarte Shape Tape. It’s full coverage, doesn’t crease, and lasts allll day. I use the color fair beige! I apply it under my eyes with my damp beauty blender and set it with my Laura Mercier Translucent Setting Powder.

Next up is bronzer! To get that summer glow, using bronzer is crucial. I have several different bronzers that I love, but when I’m going for a more sun kissed look, I always reach for my NARS Laguna Bronzer! I also don’t like to do a lot of contouring when I’m doing this look - I just like to focus on warming up my face and adding bronzer to the parts of my face that would naturally get a tan! I also apply my bronzer to the crease of my eyelid for a natural, bronzy eyeshadow look.

Okay now it’s time for my new secret weapon that I have fallen in LOVE with. I recently picked up the Laura Mercier “Glow” Translucent Setting Powder and it is a game changer for achieving this look! I lightly dust the powder on my forehead and anywhere else that I haven’t applied my bronzer! It seriously gives the most beautiful, subtle, & youthful glow - I’m obsessed with it!

Once I’m done with my Glow Setting Powder, I add my NARS Orgasm Blush to my cheeks! This product has a cult following and for good reason - this peachy-pink blush is so beautiful and the slight gold shimmer to it is perfect for summer.

After my blush, I like to add some highlighter to the tips of my nose and right above my cheek bones. For a glowy look, highlighter is a must! I love the Laura Geller highlighter in “gilded honey”.

From there I will fill in my brows with Benefit’s Gimme Brow in shade 3, add a little of my highlighter to my eyelids, and pop on my favorite lip in the shade “Petal”! I have lash extensions so I skip the mascara step but I used to use the Loreal Lash Paradise mascara and loved it.
