My Pregnancy Safe Skincare Routine
/Hi friends! Now that I am pregnant, my skincare routine has changed a bit, so I wanted to update you all on what I’m currently using! About two months before we were trying to conceive, I removed/replaced non-pregnancy safe items with products I could use while I was pregnant. Most of these products were already in my routine and ones that I’ve been using for years! As always, make sure to consult with your doctor about the right products for you. For any Tula products, use POPPIE for 15% off!
For the Face
Day:
1st: Double Cleanse- I double cleanse with the Tatcha skin softening cleanser. I also cleanse with this at night because it removes makeup sooo well. It’s super creamy and hydrating and I don’t have to use a ton to feel like my face is clean.
2nd: Tone- I’ve started using Tula’s new toning pads because they’re packed with pre/probiotics that keep your skin healthy and glowing. These also don’t strip my skin like some toners! I also love the Dr Teals toner for a more affordable option.
3rd: Serum- Tula’s vitamin c serum is still a staple in my skincare routine! I love this serum because it keeps my complexion from looking dull and reduces dark spots.
4th: Moisturize- My holy grail favorite moisturizer! The Tula day and night cream is sooo hydrating and always leaves my skin feeling refreshed.
5th: SPF- I cannot stress enough how important wearing SPF everyday is, pregnant or not pregnant! I have been using this Tula SPF for a long time and i’m still loving it. It’s non-greasy and smells so yummy.
Night:
1st: Double Cleanse- As mentioned above, I love the Tatcha skin softening cleanser for day and night.
2nd: Scrub- I exfoliate with this scrub 1-2 x’s a week. Not only does it smell amazing but it leaves my skin so smooth.
3rd: Tone- I use the same Tula toner as mentioned above.
4th: Serum- For my night serum, I’ve been using this Glow Recipe hyaluronic acid serum for an extra boost of hydration.
5th: Moisturizer- I use the Tula day and night cream every night unless i’m feeling super dry or I’ve exfoliated. In which case, I use Tula’s overnight repair for more hydration while I sleep.
For the Bump
Exfoliate: Exfoliation is super important especially while pregnant to help prevent or fade the appearance of stretch marks. I use this scrub 2-3 times a week all over my body!
Hydrate: I love bio-oil for stretch mark prevention and hydration. I put it on my belly, lower back, hips, thighs and boobs. I moisturize the rest of my body with a regular hydrating lotion. Currently loving this one!
